These are some of the wonderful activities that make our home school initiative unique:

Home Shrine: All families are encouraged to erect a home shrine from whence a network of grace can effectively flow into their home.

Daily Chapel: Prayer service including: a procession, Bible readings, prayers, treasury of grace, hymns, father phone and the Pledge of Allegiance. The children are always involved in the service.

Class Shrines: Each classroom has a home shrine as its soul and center of grace. Prayer is the essential activity throughout the day.

Saints/Virtues: The saints and their virtues are incorporated into our class day.

Buddies: Students in Grades 1-8 occasionally work together on the following activities: reading books, generating descriptive words, writing stories, piņatas, Ojos de Dios and greeting cards.

Student of the Week: (Primary) Each week, we select a student from the class who has been modeling the virtues and following the class rules to represent us. The student of the week is the leader for that week and is responsible for the following: setting-up/taking down of the class shrine, leading the class line, assisting with passing out materials, taking messages to other classes, writing and sharing his/her story and leading the class in prayer.

Parent Helpers/Tutors: Parents are the primary educators of their children. Therefore, they share their time, strengths and gifts with all of our children in the community.

Set-up & Clean-up: The children are directly involved in preparing the environment for chapel and classes and assisting in the clean-up at the end of the day. The children cheerfully offer sacrifices in service and ownership of their school.

Service Projects: Service projects for Mobile Loaves and Fishes made/put together by the children (e.g. greeting cards, boo-boo bags, colored Easter eggs, shrines).

Colloquium: Faith formation and celebrations for families. The Colloquium exists to strengthen, guide and assist parents and children to carry out their apostolic mission to give new birth to faith and life in the world. Parents find mutual support and learn to integrate their Catholic spirituality into their homes and families.

Colloquium Children’s Groups: Youth leaders guide our children in age-appropriate faith formation activities.

Atrium: Leads the Pre-K/K children in age appropriate hands on faith acquisition activities.

Feast Days: Joyful and robust community celebrations of liturgical and saints’ feast days. All family members participate in these celebrations so that our Catholic faith permeates the entire fabric of our lives.

Faith Community: We are all part of one big Catholic family!
